Founded in 1990, our company is a young and dynamic enterprise specializing in the design, manufacturing, inspection, and testing of pressure equipment for the chemical and petrochemical sectors. We produce a wide range of products, including shell-and-tube heat exchangers, air-cooled exchangers, columns, reactors, and pressure vessels.

Strategic Position

At the centre of the Mediterranean

Our facility is located in the industrial area of Portovesme, on the southern coast of Sardinia, near the industrial port. This strategic position facilitates the handling and shipping of large-scale equipment, thanks to its proximity to the main commercial ports of Italy. Situated in the heart of the Mediterranean, it serves as an optimal logistics hub for distribution to markets in the Middle East, Northern Europe, Canada, and the United States.

History

1992

Foundation of CMF S.p.A.

1998

Inauguration of the new production plant

With machine tools department and carpentry workshop, technical office and quality control.

2000

Production plant extension

Availability of new areas with a new Carpentry and Boilermaking workshop. Production of the first factory number consisting of the first repair file of a heat exchanger.

2001

Achievement of the first quality certification ISO9001:1994

Construction of the first Pressure Vessel. CMF S.p.A. becomes a supplier to SARAS Raffinerie Sarde, entering the Oil & Gas sector.

2002

Delivery of the first certified equipment

The fabrication took place according to the Pressure Equipment Directive.

2004

Fabrication of new heat exchangers

For EURALLUMINA (Rusal), C.M.F. fabricates new low-pressure and high-pressure heat exchangers.

2007

Heat treatment furnace

Installing of the heat treatment furnace (width 4m, height 4,5m, length 19m).

2010

Segregated workshop for boiler work

Creation of a dedicated segregated department for stainless steel boiler-making operations.

2012

Achievement of welding certification according to UNI EN ISO 3834.

2014

Qualifica ExxonMobil

CMF S.p.A. obtains qualification for the manufacture of pressure equipment for ExxonMobil. Achievement of the certification for the fabrication of carpentry structures according to EN1090.

2016

Acquisition of ENTUSA

Acquisition of ENTUSA (Reverse Engineering and Maintenance of Turbomachinery from Sardinia).

2017

Fabrication of factory number 1000

Fabrication of factory number 1000 (AES S&T heat exchanger). The acquisition and restructuring of a new workshop equipped with the latest technology, near the CMF S.p.A., allowed the company to optimize the fabrication of tube bundles.

2018

Boilermaking workshop extension

Building of a new Boilermaking workshop which allow the company to fabricate large equipment, until a diameter of 8 m.

2020

First Topping Tower Column

Fabrication of a column fully clad in SS 317L, with an internal diameter of 7 m and a length of 53 m. The supply also included the provision and installation of the distillation trays.

Company
